Sebastian Golder

I am a postdoctoral researcher at NYU Stern School of Business, funded by the Walter Benjamin Fellowship of the German Research Foundation (DFG).

I received a PhD in Finance from the University of Hamburg in 2025. During my PhD, I also visited Copenhagen Business School and NYU Stern.

My research focuses on household finance, behavioral finance, housing markets, climate finance, and macroeconomics. 

I am on the 2025/26 academic job market. 

My job market paper studies Present Bias and Mortgage Refinancing Decisions.
